Web2 okt. 2009 · The issue is an improper pre-load on the throw out bearing which causes a loud "squeeking" or "chirping" noise. The noise goes away if you press down on the clutch but returns when you let up on the pedal. I've already gotten my clutch replaced once, but the sound is still there so i'll be bringing back in soon. Web9 mrt. 2024 · Correct, the TOB should always be spinning. There should be a light pre-load on the TOB with the clutch pedal released. This keeps the TOB spinning all the time. Bearings in general don't like short acceleration bursts from zero rpm to max rpm ( ...then back down to zero, then back to max, and so on).
