NP is very common and produces paroxysmal itching on a well-defined patch of skin on the back. The itching waxes and wanes, usually without any clear precipitant. Some patients also report localized burning, pain, prickling, or numbness in the area. WebWhen I apply the cream, the skins gets back to a normal color and the burning sensation goes away for a few hours. But as soon as I stop using it, the irritation comes back! There are no bumps, lesions or anything. It's only a matter of bright redness and pain. I have no problem pulling the foreskin back either (not circumscised).
